Meet Spike! This little boy was an owner surrender to a shelter. Spike’s foster has been doing a lot of training with this boy. He is very scared when he leaves his home. He did have some leash reactivity and fear of men, but his foster mom has worked hard on socializing him, and he is making some great improvements. At home, he is a happy-go-lucky puppy! He loves playing in the kiddie pool and playing with soccer balls. He snores when he sleeps, and really is the best cuddlebug!
Spike would do best in a home with a family who will continue his training. He is scared of new people, but will warm up once given the chance. Decompression will be key in his coming to a new family. He absolutely loves other pups, and because of this we think that a home with another dog would give him the confidence that he needs to learn the world isn’t a scary place. He also would do great with an active family who loves to be outside. He LOVES to chase his ball!
