Meet Potata!! She is a 2 year old Pittie Mix, who is coming to us from Louisiana!! She has been treated for heartworm, spayed, and vaccinated and ready to find her forever home!

“Hello! My name is Potata, sweet Potata if you’re fancy! I am looking for a forever family to start the rest of my life with!! I am a ball of energy and snuggles! So if you’re the type of person that likes to go for walks, play in the yard, or go for hikes, and then wrap up our day snuggled on the couch I just might be the perfect fit for you!

I am potty trained and dog and kid friendly, but I’m a solid pup, so small children might not be the best for me. I have been around kids 7 years and up and adore them!!

I do best with dogs that are not too in my face at first. I want to get to know them a little before we romp around, but once I know they don’t want to hurt me I am ready to wrestle and chase!!! The best situation was when I got to meet my foster family’s dogs while I was safe in my kennel for my decompression period. Watching them interact and come visit near my kennel showed me that they were not scary.
New situations and people can make me nervous, so I want someone that can teach me confidence and show me that I am safe. When I am nervous I might raise my hackles and bark while backing up, but I just try to hide and get away from the new scary thing, I have never shown any aggression or reactivity otherwise!

I am working on the kennel command with defiance, because I would much rather snuggle in bed with you, but I do stay quiet in my kennel all night until morning!

I really am a low maintenance girly! If you’re busy I’m more than happy to hang out on the couch in a pillow and blanket pile that I make. I might entertain myself with a few toys and come check in with you for a few pets. So whether you work from home or away, I am perfectly fine hanging out until you can spend time with me!
